I have learned to step out of my comfort zone and do things I never thought I would. I don't like telling people what to do, but I ended up being the producer for many of the class projects and had to do just that. I've learned to use blogs, youtube and facebook to communicate and get my ideas out there. Facebook has been interesting to use in class, but it helped keep everyone together and up to date with what's going on the next week in class. It has been a lot of fun to be in charge of interviews and make sure everything runs smoothly. This has certainly been an experience like none other at Loyola; I've never had a class anything like this one. It has been a joy and a privilege to work with such a fantastic group of people.
This is one of our PSA ideas for our group PSA. This one features a dog talking to its owner about her drug problem. One of the ideas is to do something similar with a fish instead of a dog.
This PSA is from the Office. It has a pretty simple layout and is something our class can probably reproduce easily. The idea is to use this PSA set up for our binge drinking PSA.
A couple of weeks ago my group did an interview with author Fred Glueckstein. It was a good experience and showed how well the class worked together to make things happen. Right now the interview is in the editing stage but we should have a rough draft soon.
This a rough outline of what the script was for the interview. Some questions were changed, some questions were added and some questions were ommitted from this point so the final interview looks different than it does here.
